SHIPPING AND RETURNS

KERN1 offers worldwide shipping. All orders are processed from the Netherlands.

Delivery time
Orders placed Monday through Friday before 14:00 are shipped the same day. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next working day.

Delivery within the Netherlands is expected the next working day.
Estimated delivery times for international orders:
Europe: 1–3 business days
Rest of the world: 2–10 business days

Courier
All orders are shipped with DHL Express using the On Demand Delivery service.
Once dispatched, a shipping confirmation will be provided by DHL Express. Delivery updates, including the estimated delivery date and time, are communicated by email and/or SMS.
DHL On Demand Delivery allows adjustments to the delivery, including rescheduling, redirection to another address, delivery to a safe place, delivery to a neighbour, collection at a DHL ServicePoint, or temporary storage of the shipment.

Delivery insurance
All shipments are insured during transit until delivery. A signature is required upon receipt, at which point responsibility for the goods transfers to the customer.

Tracking
Tracking information is provided once the order has been dispatched.

Customs duties
All shipments within the European Union are delivered DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), meaning no additional taxes or duties are due upon receipt of the order.
Orders shipped outside the European Union are sent DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) and may therefore be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included at checkout and are determined by the local customs authority. As they vary by country, KERN1 is unable to estimate or control these fees.

Import duties and related charges are the responsibility of the recipient. In the event of refusal of delivery, the original shipping costs, any applicable duties and taxes, return shipping costs, and payment processing fees (2.9% of the total order amount) will be deducted from the refund.

The declared value on commercial invoices cannot be altered. All shipments comply with international import and export regulations. Customs delays may occur for shipments outside the European Union.

Order cancellation
Cancellation requests submitted after placing an order and prior to shipment will be considered.

For orders outside the European Union, refunds are issued excluding payment processing fees, up to a maximum of 3.5% of the total order amount.

Returns
KERN1 accepts returns for online purchases within 14 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

Returned items must be in their original condition: with hangtag attached, unworn by buyer, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged, and original packaging included.

To initiate a return, a request must be submitted by email within 14 days of receipt, including the order number and reason for return. Returns are only accepted after written approval has been issued.

Once approved, return instructions will be provided, including the return number, documentation, and address. The return shipment must be dispatched within three days of approval.

All required documentation must be completed accurately and included with the return shipment. The parcel must be clearly marked as “returned goods.” Incomplete or undocumented returns may be refused.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Responsibility for the item remains with the sender until received by KERN1. Lost or damaged returns are not eligible for refund; insured shipping is strongly advised.

Refunds
Refunds are issued once the returned item has been received and verified in accordance with the return policy.
Refunds are made via the original payment method and include the original shipping costs. Payment processing fees, customs duties, taxes, and other additional charges are non-refundable.
Items that do not meet the return conditions will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.

Showroom or event purchases
All items purchased in person, including at events, pop-ups, or in the showroom, are considered final sale and cannot be returned.
