25108 Jacket - matching skirt available 38 EU Spring Summer 1990 Cream France |
The March issue of Vogue US in 1990 featured an iconic editorial by fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, titled ‘Spring’s New Suits’, with models Linda Evangelista and Helena Christensen. Styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, the editorial featured a closely related Chanel jacket from the same collection, designed in a similar cream tweed but with a different collar.
This breathtaking vintage Chanel jacket is crafted from cream and white tweed with a soft shimmer, finished with silk trim and a V-neckline. It has a shorter, straight fit with softly rounded shoulders and fastens at the center front with three gilt CC-logo buttons. One matching button adorns each of the two patch pockets.
The silk trim along the edges beautifully highlights the elegant shape of the piece. It is lined in pure silk, while a gold chain at the interior hem ensures the perfect drape around the body.
A matching longer straight skirt is available upon request in size 36.
