To celebrate ten years of collecting and restoring Chanel jackets, I’m opening the first-ever KERN1 Little black jacket shop, a one-day holiday event in the heart of Amsterdam. A moment to see the collection up close, and the only chance to purchase these pieces in person

A small, intimate space dedicated entirely to the most recognisable and classic black Chanel jackets from the 1980s and 1990s. Expect pieces like the 1994 Scoubidou, the 1995 popcorn jacket, and the 1997 Alphabet jacket, each one restored by hand together with my mother.

For every jacket, there will be a matching reference from an original Chanel catalogue, which will be presented at the event as well. It’s a rare glimpse into the history behind each piece.

Most jackets range between 34–40 EU sizes.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Book a time slot on the KERN1 website (limited amount available till fully booked). Mention your full name, e-mailaddress and phone number

  2. You will receive a private invitation to visit the two-day shop with the exact location by email two days before the event

  3. All appointments last 45 minutes

  4. You can bring a plus-one

  5. Each client can buy a maximum of two items

  6. It is not possible to preview or reserve certain items up front. I am trying to bring a big variety of jackets, but I cannot guarantee that certain styles or sizes will be available at the time of your appointment

  7. All payments are by card, cash is not accepted

  8. All sales are final. No returns

  9. It is not possible to schedule an appointment in any other way than through the website

  10. If you don’t manage to reserve a spot, because all appointments are fully booked. You can waitlist yourself

  11. If you did manage to book an appointment, but you know you are unable to attend the event, pease be so thoughtful to let me know as soon as possible, so the spot can be given to another visitor who loves to attend
