AMSTERDAM

Beauty is complicated. Objects, people and places are never static – their stories constantly unfold, adding layers of intrigue as the years pass us by. How something feels might be totally different to how it appears at first glance. This Chanel FW 1992-3 leather vest by Karl Lagerfeld is no exception. A contraction of masculine leather and sculpted femininity, we wanted to play with how context might affect our perception of it. Taking it outside into nature, or capturing it within the familiar setting of our apartment helped us understand its multiplicities. After all, we are all a product of our surroundings.
