“In the midst of canceled holiday festivities and a global pandemic, I found myself connecting with one of the fashion world’s most iconic pieces of clothing. I had never been close enough to a Chanel jacket to have a true opinion on the matter. But I always thought it was something I would not wear or want. Although my sentiment has not changed, I have come to appreciate the value of this truly iconic piece. The sensation of putting the jacket on was quite an experience. It felt I was being hugged and comforted by the jacket. Maybe an experience magnified by the sign of the times, but nonetheless very real.
