26007 Jacket 38 EU Spring Summer 1995 Red France
|
A hot red double-breasted Chanel jacket with matching belt, designed by Karl Lagerfeld for the Chanel Spring 1995 collection. A similar dark-toned version was worn by Chanel muse Claudia Schiffer in one of the season’s most recognisable advertisements.
Cut from lightweight, supple wool, the double-breasted jacket is tailored at the shoulders and bust, yet falls in a straighter line through the body toward the hem. It fastens with ten tonal and gilt CC-logo buttons, features patch pockets, and comes with a matching belt finished with a signature chain detail. Smaller matching buttons decorate the cuffs, while the interior is lined in soft CC-printed silk.
The vivid red feels especially relevant today, as shades of red featured prominently again in the recent collections by Matthieu Blazy, bringing renewed attention to this colour within the house’s visual language.
