AUCTION CHANEL 1995 SPRING/SUMMER PINK TWEED ‘BARBIE’ SUIT

INFORMATION REGARDING THE SKIRT SUIT

KERN1’s first ever auction! Get ready to place your bids on this ultra rare vintage collector’s Chanel find: the sparkly and fun pink and cream patterned set from Chanel’s 1995 Spring/Summer ‘Barbie’ collection. This ultra rare skirt suit was famously worn by 90s Chanel muse Claudia Schiffer on the runway and more recently seen in last year’s most anticipated Barbie movie on Margot Robbie. When discussing the costumes of this movie, both Vogue and Forbes started their articles writing about this most iconic look worn by the main star of the cinematic hit.

The jacket features a classic shape with a collarless neckline, four patch pockets, and a tailored fit at shoulders, bust and waist. It is made of high-quality structured tweed with a subtle spark. The jacket is finished with six pink, cream, and gilt cc-logo buttons at center front for fastening, and adorned with a tonal sequin trim all around the edges. It strikes the perfect balance between fun and outgoing, yet chic and modern—truly embodying Chanel's essence. To ensure the jacket is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, it's lined with pure cc-logo printed silk. A chain in the interior hem ensures a perfect drape around the body.

The set includes a matching skirt with a slight a-line silhouette (wider at the bottom than the top), finishing above the knee. It features a zipper at the back for fastening and a second zipper at the front for added detail.

The skirt suit comes with an original Chanel hanger.

* Please note that this is not the actual costume that was worn in the movies. It is a similar suit from the collection. Please also note that the skirt is slightly longer than the ones seen in the movie, and on the runway.
