From the moment I put on the jacket, I am in love. What a powerful object! The color, the fabric, the fit. What a gift to be able to experience such a beautiful piece. I decided to wear it one day during my exhibition at The Ravestijn Gallery in Amsterdam. Funny, because it actually really matches some of my new work. In a large-format collage work, I have used images of dolls' clothes, photographed on colorful backdrops. By placing the saturated color of the red wool, on top of the green blanket of my studio bed I made an image that I can keep in my archive, and maybe one day it ends up in my work.
